• This kelp enriched bar is an excellent exfoliate and natural source of vitamins and minerals. Each bar contains kelp granules, kelp powder and a unique mix of essential oils. Soap Notes: The most conspicuous seaweeds are brown algae, including kelp. Some species of kelp are the largest algae in the world. Kelp is eaten as a vegetable in the Orient. It is also used as fertilizer and in the manufacture of algin, the gel used as thickener in ice cream and as a stabilizer-emulsifier in cosmetics and other products. Some kelp has a thick, tough stem that can be used as rope. Gigantic kelp bladders served as bags for carrying water.
