| Mita is undoubtedly
the most sought after singer in North America today. She has performed
live at more than 100 programs all over U.S.A, Canada, and parts of Europe
and India.
Mita had the distinction of being the ONLY international artist invited to perform at the annual "Rabindrajayanti”celebration at Rabindrasadan and at the Shovabazar Palace (Rajbari), both in Kolkata, India. Mita also also has the distinction of performing at the Dakshineswar Kali Temple during the Kali Puja festival in 2002 and in 2007 She has been featured on Kolkata Doordarshan (Channel DD7), Tara Bangla TV, All India Radio (FM 107MHz), Radio Snap, Atlanta Radio Network WRFG (FM 89.3), and Portland Radio Network (KBOO-FM 90.7and KKEY-AM1150). She has been invited on many occasions by renowned Hindi film actor/director/producer Mr. Sunil Dutt to perform (in U.S.A) for the Nargis Dutt Cancer Foundation Fund Raising Events. Mita has "played back" in Bengali TV serial “Sangharsha” stared by Mr. Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Pallavi Chatterjee. Mita is a regular performer at the annual "Banga Sammelan" (Bengali conference) organized by North American Bengali Conference (NABC). Presently Mita is the Director of Sargam, a music school in Portland, OR, giving lessons in Rabindrasangeet and light Indian classical music. Mita has captivated audiences and the media with radio, TV, and live performances all over United States, Canada, and India. She has several to her credit. |
